So … about Letterman’s replacement…

Looking at the 2003 Heart Surgery Guest Host list (well, and subsequently Adam Sandler):

Luke Wilson, Bruce Willis, Whoopi Goldberg, Regis Philbin, Brad Garrett, Bonnie Hunt, Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell, Tom Dressen, Megan Mullally, Elvis Costello, John McEnroe, Paul Shaffer, Tom Arnold, Tom Green. Kelsey Grammer, Jimmy Fallon…

Those who have had their own talk shows since (+/- Philbin/Arnold/Green and Goldberg): Bonnie Hunt, Megan Mullally, Elvis Costello, John McEnroe, Jimmy Fallon.

Given that C-Ferg says he doesn’t want 11:37 … might Dave’s heir be one of the surgery pool? (Unless Jon Stewart is strong-armed.)

I’d personally like to see Jon Favreau interviewing again. And Henry Rollins wouldn’t do CBS…

Was Luke Wilson really a host for Dave back in 2003? How’d I miss that? That dude is awesome, but doesn’t seem like talk show material. Now, if someone could convince Owen to sit behind Letterman’s desk, that would be something to watch. He’s hilarious and has great ad-lbs.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out. And we’ll see how Fallon does as well. I guess he couldn’t hack it in movies…

    Vince Vaughn.

Seriously. He was funny, relaxed and interesting as an interviewer. I’d watch him every night.
