I’m a big Rescue Me fan, but I cant really say that the minisodes (or whatever they were called) were good enough to make a Top Ten list…did you, or are you just giving bonus points for the general quality of the show?

Honestly, I tend to watch Rescuse Me on DVD (the most recent season was released in 2008), though I have watched the shorts on Hulu in ‘08, too. I was struggling to think of a 10th good series. I suppose of Rescue Me falls through the cracks of not actually having been produced in ‘08, I could toss in The Late Late Show, but there aren’t any other prime time shows I watch.

House remains a favorite, but I must agree with Alan Sepinwall and say that the best hour of television last year was on Lost, the episode entitled “The Constant.”

I’d put house in 4 killing Cutthroat Bitch, and rescue me counts 4 doing something to be on the air … I almost put Damages on my list (also a DVD view with me) since it seems so long since it was on the air…

Haven’t seen Californication (or Chuck, which is silly since it comes on right before one of my favoritest shows ever. Yeah, that’s right, I said “favoritest.” Deal with it.) Is that a Showtime property? That would explain not having seen it since we don’t have Showtime, although as soon as Leslie finds out there’s a show on Showtime about David Duchovny having sex, there goes another 30 bucks a month or whatever they charge. For me, Big Love and Flight of the Conchords (both HBO–have you seen either?) would have to make the cut, along with Heroes, which you also left off.
